December 4th, 2025 – Today, I submitted my piece for the annual group show at Hamilton Artists Inc., located at 155 James Street North in Hamilton, Ontario. The SWARM is a great event and allows you to see whether the art community is at the moment. In recent years, it has been oriented towards figure and realism rather than abstraction. As an artist, I have swung between abstraction and realism since my student days. My art teachers included Robert Bateman and Bob Mason, one of the founders of the Inc. back in 1975. This year, I have selected a piece from my abstract body of work, which explores my experience of landscape and how memories give value to different shapes and objects. The opening reception is Friday, December 12th, from 7-9 pm. The show runs from December 12th, 2025, to January 17th, 2026 – check website for hours of operation.
